The patient in the bed in front of him was writhing slightly, the pain of the burn on its hindquarters looking red and angry and undeniably the cause of the agony the patient was going through. The coatl that was seeing to him watched as his sister - his twin in all regards - stepped forth and placed a cooling claw down onto the searing flesh. The patient suddenly softened their movements, relaxing under the touch. Glitz looked on, nodding gratefully at his sister Bijoux as her healing magic she pulled forth calmed the skin ever so slightly. It would be only temporary, just enough to help cut down on the recovery. That would be when Glitz’ own magic was required to actually heal their patient. Both siblings were always gentle and sweet, but while Bijoux was a bubbly personality and a kind words always ready, Glitz was softer, quieter and used his actions to speak for him more than his words. So he pressed a gentle and cool hand upon the dragon’s forehead, letting his energy radiate care and safety.

Glitz had felt as though the burn was on his own body while watching his patient in pain. He felt the heat of burned skin throbbing well under the surface, blistered and damaged from a group of young dragons not knowing their power and hitting a bystander. Always the empath, Glitz had an innate understanding of other people and their emotions. He could feel the sadness radiate off someone who was depressed, and smiled brightly when in the presence of a dragon delighted by good news or a well received gift. It was the type of dragon that he was, and it was one of his most useful tools within his arsenal working within the infirmary with his twin and their friend Lilith.

The same dragon entered into the room then, watching as Bijoux moved from the patient. She presented a salve to place upon the dragon’s exposed skin to help with the fever, which she applied to him. Most often thought that a dragon skilled in healing magic could just snap their fingers and the afflicted would be completely healed. They would be aghast to see how the process actually worked, with the three coatls healing in tandem. Glitz would use his magic to help the most severe of patients, while Bijoux would utilize her own to alleviate a bit of pain and shorten the recovery. Lilith, skilled in her herbalist abilities, would make tinctures, salves, tonics and more to take away the bite of their bodies raging at the sudden injury or illness. Then, they would repeat until the patient recovered.

Glitz noticed that their patient’s eyes were fluttering open, his fever broken thanks to all their efforts. The coatl smiled and placed a palm on the dragon’s shoulder, assuring him he was doing well. Certain his patient would sleep fitfully, Glitz left the infirmary and traveled outside of the Starlit Hearth. It was just on the edge of their territory where the earth was the richest, and it was there that his garden blossomed in full vibrancy. Glitz loved his garden, finding an affinity for the way that flowers could spell out emotions better than even words sometimes. He would spend most of his free time within the garden, tending to his precious blooms. His pride and joy of course were his roses, which he carefully trimmed a few off to give to some of the patients - the burn victim included - to brighten their day in the morning.
