______ Born in the icy depths of a crystal cave, Alabaster has been acquainted with the cold from a young age. Unlike most of his kin, he thrives in the harsh conditions and has no desire to leave. But alas, nothing can live here and remain untouched. Over time the harsh conditions have left their mark on his body, permanently altering its appearance. It doesn't bother him, though he sometimes wishes...

Not that it would ever happen.

______ One could argue he carries a terrible burden. But is it truly so terrible, if his solitude guarantees the safety of others? He himself has vowed to protect, and protect he did. For when he changed appearances, he claimed command over something far bigger. The weather is like a beast; not meant to be tamed although it can be coaxed. Yet... he has done the impossible.

And travellers will be safe under his watch.
