Biography

f f azxa (wolfsbane). she/her | necromancer f f |
................ |
To heal is to destroy. The ability to create life, and to sustain it, is the exact same as the ability to tear a living creature to pieces, to rend it limb from limb, to leave it breathless, chest heaving in the ashes, crushed in the rubble and dirt. This is something that few others understand. She knows it well, though. Has balanced both life and death on a razor’s edge, and always come out the victor. Although she leaves a trail of broken clans in her wake, ragtag groups that inevitably, eventually, turn her away, she has no regrets as she turns her back on them. Instead she turns over her shoulder to look back at them one last time, feeble and frail without her, and scoffs. Because she has power the likes of which they can scarcely conceive of, and if they lock it away behind some kind of arbitrary ethical boundary or fear, she can no longer stomach even the thought of them. Of their weakness. In her current station, though, she finds indomitable strength of an unexpected sort. She looks into her lover's eyes and sees nothing but her own fierce resolve reflected within, and she thinks, yes, this is something she might be able to work with. | .................... |

One would be a fool to believe in a creature so fickle as death. If you mean to gain, you must first give something up; it is fortunate, perhaps, that most of the clan are very much expendable. Old charms, cracked amulets, dusty potion bottles. Even the best, the brightest, the cruellest of necromancers cannot escape death. When her frail and ancient form succumbs at last and exhales one final time, her bones will not be laid to rest in a grave. Why play the game when I hold all the cards?

Scalpel-thin,
the line between
where cauterising ends
and burning begins.
Death's mottled touch,
and trauma's sting,
just make the alleviation sweeter.
Life feeds on life,
relief decays,
and slips into destruction.
There are no bounds but what we make;
cages wrought of fear and doubt.
With curiosity unleashed
nothing remains
to curb the chase
of something new
and greater.
