A tragic wreck, resulting in the loss of both the coatl’s parents. An egg floated downwards to the ocean floor. The ship crashed in the Sea of a thousand currents, and the egg had become one with the water.

The dragon saw not a reason to go to the surface. Never needed air, and surprisingly, they didn’t need food either. No, no reason to leave the cool ocean, but there were noises coming from above, sounds of chatter and music.
The coatl slowly emerged from below the water, the shiny surface reflecting the stars and moon up above. Bright lights came from the shore, tents set up, and dragons having food, and playing music.

Such a fun sight was enough to coax the coatl, in all their excitement, to float above and see if they could join in.

Things were wonderful, a delightful festival to celebrate a hatching-day of a friend, when seemingly out of nowhere, a lone figure on the lake appeared, and with them, a giant ship, ghostly blue lights trailed behind it, a coatl with white curling horns next to it, on the side of the ship there lay the words.
