Dragon fell upon dragon. Kin betrayed kin. Industry ceased. The de facto leaders, hitherto unchallenged, were cast down and driven into the wild forest as exiles.

Maddened by some unseen affliction, the clan tore itself apart in a frenzied struggle for supremacy. Some perished in the fighting. Many more fled the tunnels of their home to escape the madness.

When the dust settled, only a few remained. These stragglers made lives for themselves in the echoing halls. And in time their numbers were bolstered by migrants coming upon the mostly-abandoned lair and choosing to stay.

But a curse of madness still clings to the place. Though the killing frenzy has abated, those who linger suffer from paranoia and savagery.

Over the ruins, unquestioned, Salaisuura rules. The softest word from her mouth is an unbreakable command. Her slightest whim is attended at once. Her fickle favour is the greatest of honours. She lounges as a queen atop a hoard of silver, and dragons come and go at her bidding. 		Black Queen
