Biography
Moloch
Moloch is known among his followers as The Emissary of The End and he swaggers around the clan territory as though he holds the end of all things itself in a small satchel somewhere on his person - and that by some small whim he may very well unleash it upon the world. Of course, this is mostly grandiose posturing meant to deter from the fact that he is in fact one of the key players when it comes to the origins of peace-making and diplomacy between the Plague and Nature Flights.
Hundreds of years ago, he oversaw the first settling of a fugitive Plague clan - exiled from the Wandering Contagion due to their lack of adherence to spreading only harmful and virulent pathogens, this clan instead took a keen interest in spreading anything violently self-perpetuating, and this came to mean they upheld the sanctity of many of the fungi and flora of the Viridian Labyrinth as a prime example of the perfectly infectious nature of organic growth that knows no bounds.
Moloch has been building bridges between the Flights for all of his life - he has worked closely with the Wildclaw Protectors of the Behemoth to ensure that all Wildclaws thinking of migrating from the Scarred Wasteland are aware there may be a place for them among their ranks (so long as they are willing to utterly renounce the Plaguebringer).
In terms of temperament - he is cold and calculating at times, but light-hearted and witty at others. He rarely comes across as silly, though, and many consider his humour to be somewhat dry. He understands that he is regarded with suspicion and prejudice by many Nature dragons and he does his best to remain true to himself whilst also affecting a sort of diplomatic affability in the hopes of winning his sterner critics over.
Hundreds of years ago, deep beneath the beating bosom of an aging tree that many Nature inhabitants knew as The Shrieking Relic, Moloch uncovered a pulsating mass that he dubbed The Heart of Viridia. This mass was something of a paradox - it would rot organic matter that came immediately near it, and yet it secreted a sort of bile and an airborne pathogen that when dispersed in their naturally occurring volume would cause all surrounding plant life to grow tenfold. Moloch studied this mysterious amalgam for some time, trying to understand its origins and true nature. It was not until a few decades of study, and upon bringing in outside help from the infamous Plague alchemist Rosier and his sibling and lab partner Berith, that the trio, along with Moloch's partner Vira, made a shocking and even more mystifying discovery. The trio produced a serum from the masses secretions that, when imbibed, began to degrade and simultaneously transform the dragons bodies. Before long, all of them had become ethereal, spirit-like versions of themselves. And yet, they still required sustenance to live, as Berith learned after a month of fasting as he began to fade away until he was barely visible - at the same time his voice had got quieter and quieter - he seemed to be exiting their plane of reality altogether - although no one, not even Berith himself, was sure if this was in fact dying. The dragons came to realise that it was only food grown in and around the area of the heaving mass that could sustain them, and so they were forced to live the rest of their days in this location.
This ancient history was little-known to most of the clan although Meridia had a somewhat fragmented account of it she had learnt from an aging Imperial historian she had met in the Hewn City. The migration of the Lucanidae Clan following the birth of the Second Age would put Kynareth and her kin along the same path as these phantasmic Plague ambassadors - although the two factions would never truly intermingle, they did successfully learn to cohabit in an environment that would come to shape many of the clans members.
