While the whole clan leader thing seems to have skipped her father, Leila got all of it. Determined, and looking for a clan where she could belong, she left home and travelled to the sea of a thousand currents. There, she found herself welcomed (though not very warmly) in the shadows of the Tangled Wood. This was during Firlia's time, and she found that she enjoyed helping others, and occasionally Firlia. It caused quite a stir when Firlia stepped down from the position and offered it to Cassondra but she took it in stride herself.
She found a place in the clan. Due to all the continued "experiments" of Firlia. She had become the healer of the clan. With the never ending mind set to expand and grow her skills.

She would never admit it to anyone, but she sees Firlia as a mother figure, and occasionally, Nuthas as a fatherly figure, which many find odd due to Nuthas's.... demeaner? Attitude?
