My best friend and I started the wheels turning on the project that eventually became our new clan. She is the leader--her skills in diplomacy are stronger than mine, and she sees a much larger picture than I do. I am in charge of the day-to-day running of things, and while there are parts of my job that I don't love (guard rotations are such a pain, especially since with five nests, we have 10 dragons out at any given time, and I can't tell you how many times I have had to change the locks on the food stores, and yes, Alienor, I am looking at you), there are things that make it worth every moment of aggravation, such as showing the new emigres around and settling them in with a familiar for companionship, so they have a friend during those chaotic first few days who is as new and lost as they are. We remember, all of us who have journeyed, how lonely a new place can be.

Wayfarer is a place where dragons work wherever their skills take them, and no one is required to stay, although most do. We value wealth because constant travel leaves you broke, especially when the comptroller of the Diplomatic Corps nickel-and-dimes every expense report, and we want our clan to be secure, now and in the future. We work hard, but have grown strong with our efforts, and we are still growing.
