She's sweet, kind, and almost perfect to an unreal extent. Benign is just that though- unreal, not a speck of life in her. She's a robotic mirror of unknown origin, and it's not because she refuses to tell anyone. No, it's because she has no recollection of who made her at all.
This doesn't stop her from living a happy life though...as much as a robot can do that. She's constantly taking data from the species around her and acts like a little bit of everything from it. While her body can process liquids into fuel, her insides sort of move the rest of the contents that would be vital to a regular dragon throughout her mechanical intestines. Her insides are sterilized daily, therefore she's actually a pretty useful dragon to carry food in (as awkward as it'd be to see it come back out her mouth. She doesn't have a saliva function nor...another exit for "food." She doesn't understand why dragons don't take this opportunity when traveling with her). Like a regular robot, she doesn't come without her own little glitches. She has to wipe her daily folder of memories to save space, so if one asks her if she remembers something minute, she may try to go into some backup folders which will cause her head to twitch and her pink glass eyes to flash different colors. Her body can definitely handle small amounts of liquid, but if one drops her in water, her body will overheat and electrocute the things around her before she shuts down. She's been salvaged plenty of times on coastlines before for lightning hitting her in mid-flight towards the Southern Icefields. Thankfully, some kind tailors have helped make her water resistant clothing for whenever she has to deal with rain. Does she look and sound like a dragon? Absolutely! You'd really have to put your ear to her sides to hear those gears moving. Her hide is made up of many materials to assimilate regular dragon hide, a mimic of being iridescent while not actually being shiny. She's crafted to be a wonder of a masterpiece. No one can prove if they were the ones that made her, but many have lent a helping hand to repair her because of all the pages she still carries of her blueprints when she needs them. If the blueprints are ever lost, her photogenic memory never fails her to sketch the contents of the sheets perfectly onto another one. Benign doesn't want to be treated like a fake dragon. She wants to be seen as real. She's a great addition to any clan. Her vast amount of data even allows her to care for living things wonderfully. She loves to read books and be led by example, but despite this, she's scared of learning too much and becoming scarred for the rest of her existence. She doesn't know what others may think trauma is or what she should delete or keep to grow in life. When a dragon she cherished dies, her memory wipes everything about that creature away, and sometimes she's viewed as too happy and aloof during times of mourning. Too much unpleasant feeling causes her body to short circuit and leak fuel from various openings around her face. During this, her voice is glitchy and her reaction time is too slow for her to work on anything. She often moves away from clans that experience frequent tragedies because of this. Don't think she's completely artificial though! The gladeboughs on her shoulders, her familiar, and her pixies are all real! Her familiar is her pet gecko that stuck to her robe one day and didn't want to get off. Her pixies live inside the mini-trees on her and help to keep her and their home clean whenever possible. Because it's custom for dragons to name their pets, Benign has named them Bitsy, Trixie, Dixie, Itsy, Pipsie, and Zipsie! They keep watch over her when she powers down to sleep. So precious! |

*Benign understands that she can never have hatchlings one day. Not having (or not remembering that she had) a family often makes her sad. She doesn't even know if she's adopted hatchlings before because she outlives and forgets dragons so easily. It's best not to mention things like that around her.
*She's bad at transitioning between emotions, but anger takes the cake. When someone tries to give her false data, a loud click sounds off in her head and she instantly snaps to a more irritated mood. This click sound represents her save files and select eye screens for data collection shutting off. Since mass opinion is truth to her, she often takes lies as an offense or a plan to bug her system. *When she wants to scan something, her eyes light up slightly during the daytime as she collects data on it. In the dark though, she projects a screen of light typically seen in movies that show full body scans. *She has several eyelids that aid her in different forms of sight: None for full color, one for database screens, one for night vision, one for infrared, one for magnification, and all for sleep. Don't worry though, not all of them go over each eye. Half are for the first set and half are for the second set! | _______ |
