C H A R A C T E R
Xilonen is a kind soul at his core. Deeply considerate of those around him, and loving through and through, despite the fact it isn't always shown in the most outward ways. Down to his reserved nature he makes a good listener, though he isn't shy about cracking a few jokes of his own when it feels appropriate. As a result of this stoic nature however, he can come off as... quite cold. And down to his lack of socialization in his youth, he's quite the oddball, deterring some from keeping his company. Despite his loving side... there is a darkness to Xilonen. He's quick to anger when the right buttons are pressed, and almost feral when he reaches that stage. While this fierce, raptor like nature is useful in the field of battle, when in arguments with people he's rather avoid killing, it can be quite the issue. It causes a lot of internal turmoil and holds him back from engaging properly with people.
B A C K G R O U N D
Xilonen grew up in the tangled woods. Not in a loving clan, however. In fact, not in a clan at all. He was reared by a group of Talonak slavers, bent on manipulating dragons to use to infiltrate more organised clans, for the task of petty thievery. They were cruel and unjust to their young charges, though Xilonen got special treatment. You see, he was special in the fact that - unlike the other youths around him, wildclaws (they're the most birdlike, I suppose) kidnapped at a young age - he was both bred and hatched directly by the Talonak's hands, and as a result he was both loyal and believing of their cause.That all changed, however. It's hard to tell exactly what stirred in young Xilonen, be it a voice in his head or a realization of his own morality, but it was something indeed. Something that was enough of a driving force that, on one seeming ordinary day, he turned on those who'd raised him, torched their nests, and lead his young kin to freedom. It's true that not every youth that ventured with him that day made it. Yet despite that, the small group of refugees made their way eventually to the edge of the shadow swept forest they once called their home, and instead found their way to a land of rot. Not all chose to step foot on those tainted soils, but those who did were lucky enough to encounter a small group of ragtag survivors, and a sheltered place to call their own...

• He was one of the first dragons I ever got on the account, as a gift from the user ObsidianMage. As a result, he has a huge amount of sentimental value, and I wouldn't change his dumb chicken butt for the world.• He's a member of a dragon subspecies called Duskmages; shadow based creatures with ties to dark magic and the shade. He doesn't actually know it though, nor does it really impact him, since he's never really thought about trying magic past breath attacks. Stupid chicken. Maybe he'll figure it out someday. • First dragon I ever got to level 25 in coli! He's also, oddly enough, got the most luck when it comes to rare drops. I'm proud of him. You're doing amazing, sweetie. • He's incredibly bird like, but since he's so emo it only ever shows when he's around people he's ok letting loose around, aka his closet friends and girlfriend. Closet chicken, hiding his delicious and succulent chicken legs from the world. |

EFERHILD - MATE Xilonen is very, very fond of his Eferhild, or his 'Kitty' as he's affectionately named her. Despite the Tundra's brutish looks, he loves her to death and would 100% die for that woman. While, visually, they make a very unlikely pair, personality wise they were more or less made for each other, and by this point she's become a huge part of his coping mechanism; without her he'd suffer. |

SPARKLES - FAMILIAR Xilonen picked up this little kit on a trip back 'home' to the tangled woods. He found them curled up and dying in a brambled thicket, and softly rescued them to take home with him. They've been his loyal companion ever since, and he cares for them dearly.
