outspoken "corporal" - battle strategist

 Klaus is like his clan's "corporal." He's not really, but he invites himself to the battle strategy meetings. He makes sneaky, contrived battle plans of guerrilla design and optimistic assumptions. His main point is that if the enemy can't guess what you're doing then they can't get the upper hand, therefore resulting in a quicker, cleaner battle and a speedier payout. Although this is a fair point, there have been many cases in which Klaus' troops have failed their missions because they could not understand the strategies given to them. Klaus says that the clan needs more competent soldiers.

Klaus claims to have fought in some inter-Flight battles for the Icewarden before he was recruited into Bruins' clan, but everyone knows that is either a lie or that he was of a very minor position. Still, although he likely does not have much battle experience, sometimes his methods can lead to viable, unorthodox ideas. His metaphorical light bulb illuminates several paths, although the path directly to his light can often be dangerously blinding.
