Biography
Revelry was so excited about moving to a new place, a new flight, a new life, that I couldn't say no, even though on some nights before we left I cried myself to sleep with worry and fear over the future. I wanted to grow up in the halls we had been born into, and I was afraid that if I stretched my wings, I would fail, and fall, and plummet to some horrible death on the uncleared parts of the Scrub, and my family would be humiliated and hate me.
Revelry dragged me along in her wake, as she frequently does, and when I was with her I could see some of her vision and catch some of her excitement, and thought that maybe it wouldn't be so awful.
And it wasn't. At first, I missed my family and my other friends, but Bob seemed to know that I was scared, and he took extra time to make sure I was okay, and even gave me the cutest familiar to remind me that it isn't always ever completely dark. Alienor was an immediate friend, and Vaerat took me under his wing and taught me a lot about organization and large-scale planning, so much so that I am his wingsecond and will eventually take over the civil planning job when he decides to retire. Dot is a kind matriarch, and seems to be everywhere she is needed before we even know we need her. I love my job--it allows me to be around people just enough and still to let me be alone and get things done when I am dragoned-out. I'm glad we came. I'm so glad we came.
