Meir is a remnant of an experience that Chloe didn't fully absorb, yet was still able to create a living being from it. Because of this, he is capable of wandering between both Chloe and Loyd's side of the cavern as neither of them have any influence on him and cannot persuade him to stay on either side. He prefers not to take a side and will interact with any remnant he encounters, regardless of who's side they're on. However, he will refrain from speaking with any remnant created after him, though this is less of a personal choice and more because of his creation.
The coatl was crafted from the experience of a dragon who succumbed to their old age in the caverns, reminiscing on their life before they had passed. This was attempted to be absorbed by Chloe in hopes of creating them anew, though she couldn't absorb it all before they died, resulting in Meir's incomplete state. Despite the fact that he has exposed bone and is missing some flesh, he is able to function just fine, and he doesn't seem to care anyway.

He lives for nostalgia and refuses to interact with anything or anyone new, which is why he ignores newly created remnants. He's stuck in the past and is rather emotionless even with those who he does interact with, though this could be another side effect of his complicated creation.

tumblr_ph64flyTl71wgebr5o3_250.png Meir remembers a time when Chloe and Loyd had a truce, not too long before his creation, and will forever hate the two for ending that truce and creating division in the caverns. Meir yearns for the past when everyone was happy and things were simpler and pretends to be within that past to make himself believe that everything is still peaceful.
