Maxxim is a cocky pearlcatcher who showed up at the Outpost one day and never left. It's glaringly obvious that he does very little for the community, he's almost exclusively seen lazing about or boasting to newcomers. He excels at feats of strength and precision, making the other dragons of the Outpost wonder why he doesn't put his skills to good use.

Maxxim gets along well enough with Solute and Serra and has struck up a friendship with Acid.
The one dragon he cannot stand Volans, who has made his annoyance at the pearlcatcher’s attitude known on several occasions. Despite the fact that the imperial is many times larger and stronger than him, Maxxim gets up in his game whenever he can. Because he too hails from the Sunbeam Ruins, Maxxim had heard talk of a certain infamous imperial raider that terrorized its skies. When he encountered Volans (who is currently in hiding from bounty hunters) on the Southern Icefield, he was quick to put two and two together. He's not so stupid as to try and blackmail the imperial with this information, but he knows he can get away with down talking him.
- Personality
Charismatic and athletic, Maxxim has managed to acquire a small crowd of admirers. They hang out at the edge of the settlement where he tells them tall tales of his journeys. Despite his physical prowess he's not a fighter. When presented with danger he freezes up, unable to snap out and do something. This is the one place where his confidence fails and because of this he avoids any such situations like the plague, feeding his reputation of being all talk and no action.
