The skydancer took great joy in the fact that she could masquerade just as easily with the males as she could the females. In fact, on at least one occasion, she'd gotten halfway to a nest with someone before they'd realized their mistake.

There was one exception. At least...sort of an exception. Because while it was highly amusing to see the wildclaw thrown off his game, Meckil knew the boundaries.

Oh, she knew he had a sworn mate already, despite the fact that she'd known him longer. Perhaps in a different form, and perhaps he didn't remember as well as she did... But he and his imperial lady were a set match, and she knew them both well enough to know that it wasn't going to budge easily. And no matter how much she'd never admit her heart ached, she had to agree that they were well matched.

But Tidelord and Stormcatcher above and beyond, that would never stop her from loving him.

Meckil spends most of her time bouncing between the nests where she is inevitably helping to herd the hatchlings, and staying with Acini in the clan's library. She has trained, and will fight alongside Luca, Mystral, and the others, but in her heart she is a lover and a reader first. Meckil does have a fondness for Clarigale and Jacquerel, and the fashionista and his mate are always happy to play host to the dazzling skydancer. Somewhere in the back of the lair, the others are terrified of what would happen if Jacquerel and Meckil would ever nest, because the whole place might collapse from the types of hatchlings they'd produce.

At least at present, Jacquerel still shows no particular interest in nesting away from Clarigale. But, as always, Meckil is waiting.

She's gotten very good at waiting.
