Melancholy, was born with an unnatural gift with nature. She could easily reanimate or wilt any plant. As she grew older, her powers strengthened and she was able to reanimate old dead trees. She loved how nature responded to her and how it was proof that it was what birthed her. That is until her body started changing as well. She oozed black liquid and her face started to shift back and forth from deformed to its original state. It was excruciating and that's when she discovered her parents were not of this world. She was coming of age was what they said. However, all she felt was like she was a freak. Her powers were not of the beautiful things around her, they were a dangerous curse.

She fled from her home and went on a rampage. Destroying whole forests with her power and wilting full valleys. Dragons looked on with fear at her deformed visage and oozing black sludge falling from her fangs. Eventually, she fled from society itself and has finished her puberty. If anything she was more beautiful than before, but the damage had already been done on her mentally.

Eventually, her parents found her curled up and passed out. Purple flowers slowly growing from the ground around her.
