The Mysterious Watcher

A benevolent figure who guards the arctic wilderness, or a wandering hunter bound to the frigid everglades - it is unknown whether the being known as Skahdi is even a dragon at all, as some believe that he is a restless spirit, or even a lesser god. But whatever he may be, Skahdi stalks the Snowsquall Tundra, dwelling deep within the dark, frozen forests.

Skahdi is sometimes seen as a fearsome guardian dragon clad in garments of fur and leather, a great bow slung over his broad back and a heavy sword at his side. Others have witnessed him in the form of an elderly humanoid, with a white wolf cape over his shoulders, carrying a glittering oaken staff. Some tales even say that Skahdi can shapeshift into a large snowy owl, who soars over the trees so that he may keep a closer watch over his domain. On eerie mornings when a blanket of frozen fog hangs over the woods, superstitious locals whisper that Skahdi is on the hunt, and avoid the trees for fear his deadly frozen arrows may find them.

Though he remains a mystery to most, some of the elder ice-flight dragons of the area suspect the truth. They keep Skahdi's secret, allowing him to live undisturbed to care for the flora and fauna of the frostbitten tundra.
