Biography
Lyric was a traveling bard. He sung praises of the Gladeskeeper as he traveled under the trees and through the meadows of the land, singing blessings for life and harmony to fall on the inhabitants.
His route was sporadic and there was no real reason or rhyme why he'd gone that way that day, but he'd been so distracted by the birds in the canopy, he tripped and had fallen into a shallow hole. It hadn't hurt, but it was certainly startling enough for the bard to sit there for a moment, face in the dirt, contemplating how, exactly, this fresh indent had gotten there.
A green and orange winged dragon swiftly came to his aid, helping him up and introducing herself as "Haiku." The bard-dragon was taken with her immediately and he felt a special resonance with this creature of nature, as if she was somehow special.
He asked what had brought her here, why she had been digging and clearing space in the gardens, and was enamored by her tale. He believed that she'd been chosen by the Gladeskeeper and that her work was sacred, to be pursued with the greatest of care.
He vowed to stay with her until her land was made inhabitable for other dragons, ensuring she had enough provisions to house a small number.
And while the lair was being carved from the land, they slowly fell in love.
As It turned out, that shallow hole had been the efforts of a nest, one that was quickly made to be exactly that, before 3 eggs came along, and their family, now a clan, had quickly started to blossom.
