Has no interest in travel (except for when he reached adulthood and found a new lair with few other guardians to move into). Instead he set up a stall in the Cloudsong bazaar where other travelers bring their wares and thus sates his appetite for stories and the tastes and tongues of foreign cultures from the comfort of home, as well as providing a valuable service in transmuting all his flighty lairmates' creative efforts into needed treasure and raw goods.

While good customers are of course his favorite kind, bad customers are the ones that give him a bigger and bigger smile as he listens through their outrageous demands and unfounded complaints before saying "No." The good cheer is genuine. It's deeply satisfying to face down irate entitlement, let the steam boil, and then stymie it.
"I want—" "No."
"Do this—" "No."
"Give me—" "No."
"I'll never shop here again!" "Thank you! Have a day as pleasant as you."
It's good for the drakes to get hit over the head with a new experience occasionally. Punctures overgrown ego. Builds character.

The annoying customers are the ones that consider an appropriate subject for small talk with a guardian to be the finding, nature and condition of Charges. After the half dozenth time someone asked he dipped his hand in wet paint, slapped it on a piece of parchment and said that's his Charge. This unconventionality successfully closed the topic. Whenever it comes up now the answer is it's around. (Somewhere. Probably.)

His new home also features Johnny, who sought him out when he moved in for a welcome that didn't ask about his Charge, and the next time and every time thereafter they ran into each other continued to not bring it up in any way, insinuation or subtle aspersion, and when it finally did come up in her presence responded only with an easy "You know yourself best."

Dinky is aware one two-minute conversation the other party might not even remember is not a good reason to fall in love with someone. He's got plenty of time to find other reasons while getting to be better friends, like how she somehow never seems to look up or down on bigger or smaller dragons she talks to and knows everything there possibly is to know about stone in Sornieth and has really pretty fins. When he's ready (if it's true, if it grows) he'll have lots more to give than "You're amazing please never leave."

Any day with clear warm weather that he's not in the bazaar the likeliest place to find him is on a ledge outside somewhere, sprawled in the sunshine like an enormous scaly cat. (Any day with gloomy gray weather that he's not in the bazaar, the likeliest place to find him is indoors somewhere well-lit moodily munching fish.)

Pillow-Petals-Pumpkin.png Showed Remy some of the most effective circuits to get around the bazaar without tangling himself up on tight corners or getting in the way of traffic. Remy gave him a Pillow of Friendship in return (not payment, as a gift; he specified).

Dink doesn't particularly need a pillow, but it's a good one, so he propped it up in his stall to advertise for Poe. It does pretty well with "No, that's not for sale, but you can commission one."
