An extremely intelligent and talented dragon from the Shadow Flight, Minerva was hired on to serve as the Head of Niflheimr Hall. An experienced educator who has taught at various universities in both Shadow and Light territory, she was originally offered the position of Head Magician before current Head Magician (and, now, one of her closest friends) Renly was hired, but she said she would rather have a position working more closely with Home's residents. An intensely competitive dragon by nature, Minerva loves being the Head of a Hall and encouraging the students in her Hall. Though she could never be accused of favoritism, she takes great pride in Niflheimr Hall and cares deeply for her students, both personally and academically. Being an orphan herself and knowing perfectly well what it is like, Minerva does all she can to make Home feel more like, well, home. Much like the Svartálfheimr Head of Hall, Errai, Minerva had no need for lessons in classroom management due to a natural sense of gravitas and authority. She is magnanimous and stern, and many new arrivals are intimidated by her larger-than-life reputation. Well-known around Home as an incredibly talented magician and an intensely brilliant dragon, she can often be very intimidating to new arrivals without meaning to be. She is held in great respect by residents and faculty alike. Her stern personality means she is very used to having her way and she does not tolerate silliness or time wasting from either her students or her colleagues, leading to her acting cold towards dragons who act out. Though she rarely smiles and compliments do not come easily, she has a dry sense of humor and a skill at knowing when she needs to alleviate the tension or give a word of support. Minerva has a high sense of respect for rules and doing things the proper way, and she frequently butts heads with the Helheim Heads of Hall, Zaid and Grim. Though she may not always get along with the rest of Home's faculty, Minerva is close with every other staff member, and she highly respects the opinions and thoughts of her colleagues - she's just not one to let her own opinion go unsaid. Minerva may be stern and a touch intimidating, but she cares deeply for her students and is absolutely loyal to Home.
