Fallen King maddened | paranoid | reclusive What happens when one gets too greedy? It will haunt you. This is what happened to dear Rein. Once, he had a different name, but no one alive now knows that name. Perhaps not even himself. A king once, with riches far beyond a dragon's dream, he had it all. Until the time that his riches brought the attention of things that should not be noticing mere mortal dragons. So in the night, they came. Rein's kingdom fell to shadows and ruin in one night, and his form was twisted. Mind shattered and any family taken away. A tragedy in all senses, truly. Now he sits on a throne crumbling and decrepit. The only crown on his head being a halo of wings, and curling rams horns. Eyes covering his face, and black lies and sludge seeping from his ruined mouth. Teeth cracking and too-sharp. He may be adorned with gold and gems, but they lie. He has fallen from grace and is no longer the kindly dragon he once was. A beast sits in his stead, greed sharpening his claws and driving him onward. Claws grasping and dragging any unfortunate close. A ruined voice babbling out of him, the rambles and mad gibberish of a dragon with a mind that has been long shattered. Perhaps, though... There are kernels of truth to these mad ravings. A story of beasts that no dragon has seen and lived to tell about. Say... For one ruined once-king. | xxxxxx |
