Once the familiar of a young guardian, Tegu has set back out into the world following her charge's death. The dragon pelt she wears around her shoulders may make her seem like a terrible dragon-killer, but the story of the pelt is one of far less murder.
Her former charge Indy, deathly ill, knew that she would one day die. Being a youngster, and thus the owner of a rather dark sense of humor, Indy asked only one thing for when she died: to be turned into a skin for her family to remember her by. When the time came, her parents couldn't deal with keeping the pelt of their child, so they tasked Tegu with keeping it safe. Now, Tegu and Indy travel the world together, just like they would have were the young dragon still alive.
