B I O G R A P H Y

Nightcomet slowly dripped the chemical into the mixture he had been painstakingly tending for the past three hours. It was a complicated one, but necessary for the treatment of a nasty case of Dragon Pox, which had infected four wayward hatchlings that were lucky enough to stumble upon the clan's lair.

Unfortunately for most hatchlings, the potion not only needed to be fresh to be of any help, but was also quite temperamental, and required only the most alchemically inclined to brew it. Thankfully for these ones, the clan had someone qualified to brew it.

From the edge of his vision, Nightcomet saw a indistinguishable head peak in. From the corner of his eye, he tried to send a glare their way. A warning to leave him in peace so he could just complete a single effective batch of the cure. (He had been interrupted the past few times, ending with a potion that would do little more than allow the poor hatchlings some rest).

Much to his displeasure, the dragon walked in. Without deigning them with his attention, he continued on with the last ingredient of the potion. 'Careful now...' he mumbled to himself, as he picked up a small, skin-irritating mushroom. This part was time sensitive, if he didn't put it in now the whole three hours would be for nothing and-

"Night, wait!" Nightcomet jumped and dropped the fungus to the side of the pot, instantly turning to the dragon with a snarl on his lips, until he saw who it was- Darknova. When he recognized his mate, any thought of reprimanding her fell from his mind.

"Nova dear, this is important. Could we talk later?"

"Um, actually," the dragoness said quietly, "Isn't the mushroom supposed to be cut up? That's what you told me last time anyway! I just don't want you to ruin another batch..." By the end she was full-out whispering, apparently upset at Nightcomet's earlier anger at her interruption.

'Bless her' Nightcomet smiled at her and turned back to his station to rapidly slice the mushroom, and slide the pieces into the pot, where the liquid turned the correct shade of royal purple. Quickly, Nightcomet skimmed the top to gather the usable part of the potion, and divided it equally into four vials.

Nightcomet turned, and beamed at his mate in a rare show of joy. "Oh Nova... what would I do without you?"
