 About

A leader who moreso happened to stumble upon her leadership, Hemlock has fought tooth and nail for her clan and continues to do so. Having moved them multiple times to keep them safe, fought in multiple wars and skirmishes, and done things behind the scenes even to make sure that no harm would befall them. Despite her true nature being that of a dragon who wants to live a simple life, she wakes up every morning knowing she is responsible for the lives of others. It has made her grow up much faster than her nestmates and it is very apparent simply from looking at her that she has gone through many trials.

Besides being a leader, Hemlock is your run of the mill playful and happy dragoness. Larger than most wildclaws, she paints a slightly formidable picture at first, but the reality is far from it. When she isn't tangled up with clan problems, she's usually making the most of her time the way she likes to do so. As she's gotten older she's found herself fancying finding the nearest warm rock or den and curling up for long naps with her mate or whomever she is currently sharing her space with. Her own den is absolutely covered in useless baubles and trinkets, hanging from the ceilings and lining all of the walls. It brings her peace to be surrounded by her own small hoard of items.

Though she is blind, she tends to choose objects that stimulate her other senses. That means everything is fair game as long as it smells good, tastes good, or feels nice in her claws. However there is one item she keeps far from anyone who mights touch it. A small jar of viscous black liquid that makes its home in the back of her den on a high shelf inside a locked chest. No one quite knows why and she has a tendency to clam up when asked about it.

 Origins

Hemlock was found in the Firelands alongside her siblings. They were an interesting sight to say the least. A tundra egg, plague egg, and nature egg all swaddled next to each other in an abandoned nest as if they had been there forever. Quite obviously a clan took pity on them and after watching to see if anyone would come to claim the eggs, they took the brood into their own care.

The first to hatch and the largest of the trio, Hemlock was quick to become the troublemaker of the group. She was always getting into things she shouldn't and giving Lilium high blood pressure as the poor Pearlcatcher struggled to keep up with her and her rambunctious tendencies. Hemlock also had a tendency to borrow pretty things that she liked. This of course caused plenty of issues with the clan, but she was lucky enough to have Lilium always defending her.

Often she looks back at the way she treated the Pearlcatcher in her early years. Lilium was the best mother a hatchling could ask for, but when she was young Hemlock definitely took advantage of that. She had a chip on her shoulder much worse than her siblings, not wanting to believe she had actually been abandoned as an egg. So when she grew into maturity she turned her back on the clan and Lilium (which she regrets to this day) and left to venture off to the frigid wastelands of snow and ice in an attempt to find her 'real' parents.

What she found horrifies her to this day, and she refuses to speak of it to anyone, even Lilium and her siblings. The only thing anyone knows is that she returned with a locked box that she refused to let anyone touch...and that she was no longer able to see.
