"I won’t put my faith in something so unsustainable as 'word of mouth’ written accounts are the only thing that have any substance in a changing world."

Imed is a recent addition to the Draumer Den and was initially responsible for organizing and maintaining any and all legible records within. Recently, however, their job has expanded to include aiding Marco in identifying and cataloging all the Den’s written archives and making the library a functional part of the lair. Like Demi, Imed also possesses the shaggier variant of a Skydancer’s coat. Aside from this and the feathered ornaments typical of dragons from the pine valley region Imed bares little in common with their older sibling. Imed is well spoken and intelligent but has a tendency to let conversations drop awkwardly if they begin steering in the direction of Idle conversation. They have difficulty seeing from their left eye do to an injury sustained as a hatchling which they refuse to discuss with anyone. As a result, they occasionally don a monocle during extend bouts of reading. Contradictory to their profession and mannerisms Imed has also undergone a gilding. A painful process that adorns the hide with magically permanent golden markings generally only seen among royalty in certain flights or particularly rebellious youths. A returning local, Imed was raised along with their sibling Demi by their the head Chronicler down in the Pine Valley area. They traveled as a clan of storytellers and mystics but as Imed grew older they found themselves at odds with their clan's worldview and were enraptured by the idea of the many libraries of the Light flight and all the truths they might hold. When they were old enough Imed set out to pursue their studies at the Antheneum in the Sunbeam Ruins. Now more than a decade later they’ve returned. Just why a highly accredited scholar would take a job this far out in the Icefields is largely a mystery as it certainly doesn't appear a desire to return to their roots. When Imed first arrived they gave no indication that they had any family in the area. It was only after Demi announced they were siblings. The number of times the two have spoken can be counted on one paw and nearly all of them have ended in an argument. Imed even refuses to eat in the Tavern if Demi is telling her stories there. Family aside, Imed spends most of their time in companionable silence with Marco and their spare time with Hubble pouring over star charts. The Fortress of Ends Imed did not arrive at the Den until well after Marco’s accident and was actually a little shocked to find the Den’s librarian was blind. Still, after some assurance that Marco’s condition wouldn’t hinder his work. The two settled in and work quite well together. Imed has since made themselves invaluable as their strong spatial memory helps them aid others in finding the tomes they need. |
