Betelgeuse loves anything and everything. He can often be seen with a clutch of random objects in his claws, flying about without a care in the world. He prefers to call himself a collector of rare, extraordinary items, but other dragons know him as that dragon with a terrible hoarding addiction, almost rivaling Crim of Crim's Collection Cart. Betelgeuse is polite and a little scatterbrained, frequently thinking of what new things he can get his hands on. While he tries not to beg for things that he's interested in, his wings tell another story. They stretch and gleam when he sees something of interest, almost blindingly, despite him trying to keep his excitement to a minimum.

Despite his massive hoard, Betelgeuse is beloved by his family. His bright, reflective wings come from his father Rigel, who he often visits along with his loving step-mother, Casiphia. His family of enormous Imperials frequently give him items of interest and even lets him store some of his hoard in their large cavern homes. The Mythic Saint, Marlais, also likes to feed this addiction by giving him her follower's offerings as she's not too interested in keeping them. Betelgeuse is also in a loving relationship with his wife, Genesis. He is the only dragon outside of the Mysterium that knows of her true profession, and despite his airheaded personality, Betelgeuse is quite good at keeping secrets,
treating them as a hoard in his mind.
