Role
 It's true that it's generally Arcane dragons who gladly obsess over the peculiarities of interstellar phenomena, but it's Water dragons who have the instinctual affinity (and the swimming ability) for sailing by starlight. Yangtze has always been overwhelmed by the harsh sunshine of the Lightweaver, and spends most of his time in the Hewn City navigating its jet-black rivers with only the stars to light his way. It's not just a hobby, either - his maps of the least travelled routes by water have opened up many more secret trading routes for the employ of the bravest navigators of the clan. Personality The solitude of the Hewn City suits Yangtze perfectly - like for many others of his breed, relating to other dragons is exhausting at best (and traumatising at worst). Yangtze much prefers the company of the stars, which are useful and pretty - unlike some clan members he could name. Quickly adopting the Light flight mentality, Yangtze considers a solitary life of research and scholarship a life well lived. Being alone in the pitch darkness of the Sunbeam Ruins' worst kept secret may be unnerving for some, but Yangtze also has nerves of steel - the clan has yet to scare a peep out of him (and not for lack of trying). |
