Parley is a colorful soul, and always has been. Right from the start, when she joined this clan of eccentric wonders and creativity, she felt... home.

One like Parley never has a lack of friends, but she bonded especially with a certain ragtag group of imperials: the strong, unfaltering guardian, the kindhearted whirl of beauty and daring, and the mysterious gem of a dragon who looked as if he were searching for something, but didn't quite know what it was.
She came for a new start, but she stayed for the dragons and their personalities; this whimsical place where to find a floating painting in the process of being painted was hardly unexpected.
To outsiders, it was a clan that, albeit quirky, never strayed beyond the bounds of normal.
But those who belonged to it knew otherwise. The leader herself was just as crazy and quirky as the rest of them, and didn't care about anyone's backstories or pasts, but let them move on. She had her own past, Parley realized, one that she could perhaps wrangle out of her sometime or another. But as she was bouncing down one of the many warmly lit corridors, Parley heard it...
Laughter. Free, unrestrained laughter.
Quickening her pace, grin growing by the second, Parley realized that she would indeed like it here very much.
