Gijinka!Djall by tmq

Part of a pack of fighters who hunt and destroy emperors, monsters, demons, and dragons of all sorts. Djall, the only virtuous member decides who is the evil that must be vanquished and purged, the other two allying with him. The pack is quite famous for their impressive, extremely lengthy list of victims that they have massacred and left a bloody pulp. To them, this is an outlet for their most violent urges and desires, giving them a more productive use of their bitter rage and hatred, using it to destroy and smite down the wicked of the land. They are both loved and hated, their followers forming an almost cult-like obsession with them and the vigilante justice that they serve. The three are a powerhouse, using incredible teamwork to strike down and destroy their foes, and have reached a high level of fame, especially thanks to Lugh.

- Tales of Djall -

His presence silenced whole villages. Stories that rippled across the mouths of awestruck and petrified civilians as he strode across the pathway, head high and unfazed by the whispers around him.

The Brute. The Beater. The Midnight Murderer. Names that rolled off of him with each merciless death he racked up. A vigilante, self professed and born a creature to thrive off of what most had come to fear.

He rattled in his armour with every resounding stomp upon the ground. A creature, a force of twisted heroism. A purpose born of violence in which he may exact revenge upon the foul and wicked with his own vileness. He did not slaughter in no name, and he did not cast harm upon the innocent. He was reaper to none but the lawless. And as him and his packmates gained both fame and infamy, Djall did not stray from his purpose.

He was king to no one, but he moved as if he commanded the very air around him. Beside the nefarious laughter of his allies, he was the grim reality of what the group truly did. Violent, chaotic marauders of life, vanquishers of scofflaws and the sharp-toothed hunters of bandits and thieves alike.

Djall
intimidating | righteous | kindhearted | socially inept
--

Perceived with fear in the heart of the beholder, to those outside of his pack, Djall is recognized as a man to be most frightened of. In their eyes, he is a man whose heart has been frozen over by bitter ice; not to be trusted under any circumstances, and to be avoided at every chance. He is seen as a man of great silence, cold and calculated, but when he is urged to speak, ex. being accused wrongfully or hearing misinformation that must be ceased, his tongue is sharper than any man's sword. His biting remarks include exactly what's on his mind, and with no censorship, comes off as incredibly rude and lacking in any so-called respect overall. When he is informed that his statements have been taken as insults, he will apologize for any hurt feelings, but his opinions and viewpoints are not altered in the slightest, and it's worth wondering if he truly does feel sympathy about it.

However, the truth is that he is the kindest amongst the three and has no ill intent; his name, appearance and lack of social etiquette the bane of his existence. In reality, he wants to help others, yet they are so frightened by him. Kein and Lugh, his packmates and very close companions, often have to comfort him; especially when he's afraid that he'd done something wrong and of course, not purposely.

He's known for having an expressionless face, but his body language spells what his cold stare does not. This significant feature about him makes him the de facto victim to Kein's pranks and mischief. It's absolutely hilarious to the troublemaker that Djall has such a constant deadpan expression, and as such, he's always testing him and pushing him to see if he can earn a smile or a laugh out of the man. While the group has no official leader who is in control of the other members, Djall is considered the main backbone of the group, so to speak.

He is also considered the most merciful out of the pack of imperials, given that he specializes in killing off his enemies as quick and painless, yet still in an efficient manner. Kein feels the need to tease him about this in a mockingly, yet loving way. Upon the battlefield, you will notice that their strategies differ greatly. The other two have very little qualms with their methods of killing, but Djall, as long as he can so help it, will ensure that his enemies have a quick death. They contrast, in that sense, and yet, Djall is the support that unites the three of them together.

Now, he's part of something bigger. He watched the clan’s leader, cornered, and basked in the bloodshed and victory she provided. Her sheer ruthless force and power had overwhelmed even Djall, and he had knew then, of his calling and his home.

Djall had known that his pack's barbaric excitement of violence was met with disdain. They paraded their kills, their endless list of names upon names of faceless slain and conquered in the name of law-absent justice. Djall lived no life on contract. A purpose divine in clarity.

And Djall would go. He would find his target, and show them why they whisper in his presence. Why they would silence themselves and rush to close their doors and leave the way for him to pass. He would prove to them of the rumours’ truth. He would give them sanctuary as he let them go to run, only to follow like a lingering shadow. Another name to the list.

He was a hunter. A fiend, a shadow-soaked defiler of morality. But he swore justice on the wicked and the condemned. He would find them.

And he would be the one to reap them.
