Biography
Microlore: Silent and precise, many assume he is haughty and standoffish. Instead, he hardly notices others when they try to interact with him, as he is extremely focused on his pursuit of perfection. He is a chocolatier, intensely fascinated by the art of molding, tempering, and flavoring chocolate for the consumption of others and for display pieces during celebrations. But amidst the whirls of flavor and shapes, the textures of pliant chocolate, and the scents of different flavoring agents, he lives a solitary existence.
He is autistic, though not as actively aggressive as others on the spectrum can be. Instead, he lives a life laced with anxiety and fear, of not knowing exactly where he belongs or what path to walk. He passes as neurotypical to many who know him only at a blush, but he feels quite distant from even those who call themselves his friends. He longs for someone to speak with and a kindred spirit to comfort him, but he also finds the social investment of maintaining long-term friendships extremely tiring and arcane.
He can talk about chocolate and food preparation and sourcing long into the night, and for him, many trains of thought relate back to these topics. But he also knows that this gives him a very narrow life, and sometimes - not often, but sometimes - he wonders if there is something more outside his kitchen.
