Monochrome and Monotone

As the clan grew more dragons needed medical attention than Baxter could supply, thus he took up an apprentice, Scythe. Baxter had traveled to the nearest trading post and set out looking for a potential student. He came upon a young dragon looking for work and after a series of small tests deemed him worthy. Over time, the two developed a close relationship as Baxter earned the shy dragon's trust. After the apprenticeship ended the two became partners at the care center, however the two have different medicinal styles. Baxter much prefers natural medicine and magic, whereas Scythe often collaborates with Gidget to perform technological healing and experimental treatments.

Scythe had been abandoned as a hatchling leading to many insecurities as he grew. When Baxter took him in he completely soaked in all the knowledge he could to make himself useful. He took the traits of a doctor and integrated them into his personality thinking this would make him more indispensable. He now is a bit of a clean freak and wears quite plain clothes.
Scythe, like Baxter once was, is quite antisocial and doesn't talk much. However, one day he met Sorren when the gentle giant needed help bandaging a wounded rabbit. Sorren is big and messy, always covered in dirt, yet something about him makes Scythe smile and a warm feeling radiate in his chest. The two are friends and sometimes Sorren coaxes Scythe out of the doctor's office on picnics and other outdoor adventures, Scythe secretly loves these excursions.
