Biography

"Life is just glorious sometimes, how everything you could imagine could exist somewhere, maybe in another place far, far away, but the trouble is not going and discover it, it's that you don't know about the limits you have as a child, adults thinking you're crazy and stopping you from going outside and let you discover the fantasies that are hidden by the smoke curtain, I'm not going to be stopped, with my diary and my pencil...I'm going outside tonight!"...

You've got in your hands Inara, a determined dragon that hopes to get outside her home from the deep of the Evergloom Gardens, to explore the world she was told to not look.
(Take in mind that Inara is mute!)

Uh-oh, looks like this dreamer hatchling wandered a little too far from her home lair (#306426, EnglishRose), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

Inara's Journey:

(Rinwood, 305999) The little skydancer always lived having to carry the weight of his parents passed, she didn't know what her parents did and she doesn't want to discover it.
Living somewhere deep in the Evergloom Gardens where light barely touches her home, she always heard the stories that Cobre. Her SD friend told her when she and her mom went to the surface to buy whatever they needed, she just dreamed of going outside. But her parents Onyx and Plaga always stopped her, telling that she would get eaten by monsters if she went outside even if she already knew there weren't monsters near the surface. One day she would get outside to explore the world she always wanted to learn, and that day was today. she, with a bag containing some water, food, candles and a diary managed to successfully avoid waking her family and getting into the hole that pointed outside, and with a great valor, climbed to the surface gloriously while observing the full moon shining at her, but something that she didn't take note was that her father, Onyx was awake and coming back from the marketplace in the night.

"I...Inara? Is that you?!.
She literally jumped by the scare she felt by hearing his father screaming at her. And without hesitation, with her heart beating so fast as a motor, began to run where her eyes could see.

"INARA, COME BACK, NOW!"
Yelled her father in a quick attempt of stopping his precious darling to run and started to try to catch her.

Inara was stumbling between the roots of the Everblooming Garden by looking constantly behind her, only to see his anger and preoccupied father chasing her. Because she was younger and smaller than her father she managed to lose him between the bushes and roots of the gardens, but not so fast for her. Her father took flight into the sky to have a panoramical look of the bushes to find her daughter. Inara knew about that when she looked at the sky. Onyx with his eagle eye managed to find Inara and quickly charged to her. Inara knew this would be her end, her getting caught and never allowed to put a foot outside for the rest of her life, she wanted to escape so bad she would risk her life in the attempt. For fortune or misfortune, the weather started to get worse, covering the scene of the lair break in a misty place, his father lost her again by the mist that covered the ground. Inara tokes advantage and jumped into a river, but little she knew is that the river ended in a waterfall. Inara started to panic and screaming for her life, even though she voluntarily jumped into the river. His father didn't know where she was and went to the ground in an attempt to find her.

There she was. falling in a waterfall, Inara just closed her eyes waiting for her final destiny, but suddenly something grabbed her, she opened her eyes and it wasn't her dad. It was a total different dragon that gently grabbed and saved her from dying, the mysterious dragon disappeared in the mist while its father was too tired to fly and chase the dragon, he went back to the lair and told everyone of what happened...

(Twistedstripe, 289263) Inara whimpered quietly as the talons of the mysterious dragon gripped tighter around her tiny body. It was pitch black, with only the dim stars and the moon lighting the sky around them. The skydancer hatchling was too weak, scared and tired to escape her kidnapper's grasp, and though her heart was beating furiously, her eyes could barely stay open. The ground supposedly below her could no longer be seen through the inky darkness, and Inara had no clue as to where she was or where they were headed-all she knew was that where ever it was, it was not any closer to home.

The hatchling attempted to look up at the dragon carrying her, hoping that it would be someone she recognized. In the darkness, she could make out the silhouette of the dragon's neck, chest and head, though her captor's scale colour was unclear. She could, however, make out the shape of a crest-no horns-with a medium-shaped head and two sets of glossy eyes reflecting the starlight. Inara blinked. What kind of dragon is this?

The skydancer yawned, her heart slowing down. There was no use wondering about it now, when her mind was almost about to shut off and her eyes almost closed. The hatchling gave one last glance at the sky before her, then shut her emerald eyes.

When she awoke, Inara felt hard earth below her talons, and began to stir. After gathering her remaining strength, she stood up, and scanned her surroundings. It was quite dark, but light flooded through stray cracks, revealing that she was in some kind of den, made purely out of dead trees, bones, and tendrils. The entrance to the den was a large hole, but outside, two dragons blocked it, making sure no dragon could enter or exit. The air within was thin and made the hatchling cough uncontrollably, reeking of death and decay. But she was not alone. Hidden in the darkness, other hatchlings glanced at Inara as she coughed continuously, some hissing, annoyed, and others, simply watching the newcomer with curiosity.

Inara had been taken to the Scarred wasteland, home of the plague.

Odd sounds could be heard from outside the cave. No. Gibberish. The dragons standing outside were talking. Inara could not understand their dialect, though she listened anyways. "The fodder...are they all fed?" "No, not yet." "What about the new one?"
"They're ok-sleeping."
The hatchling watched the entrance, and after the gibberish stopped, the two dragons moved aside and a coal-coloured dragon walked into the lair.

Inara blinked. The dragon was the same type as the one as last night-the crest, head and pair of eyes were all the same. Was this the dragon who kidnapped her? She shrunk down as the mirror's blood red eyes scanned the den, until she saw Inara, then came to examine the hatchling. She stuck out a talon and lifted up Inara's head, staring into her green eyes. Inara was paralyzed with fear as the pupil-less eyes scanned her face."Female skydancer....nature flight...." she muttered to herself. "Weak...but suitable." Then, the mirror left, returning with a massive insect in her mouth. She dropped it at the hatchling's feet, gave the skydancer hatchling a quick glance, and left to check on the other hatchlings. Inara stood, heart still beating swiftly, attempting to grasp what happened. At that moment, her stomach growled wildly, and consumed with hunger, the hatchling wolfed down the insect and examined her surroundings once more, looking for an exit of sorts.

The cracks in the cave's walls were not large enough for her to fit through, and the scarps making up the walls were to heavy and formed to move. After some more searching, Inara came to the realization that, unless she got out, perhaps when the guards weren't there, she could be stuck in this stinky, ugly den for the rest of her life. She silently promised herself she would escape, no matter what. But how?

●○∘⧟∼∘⦿∘∽⧟○●

Inara blinked and stretched her wings, as did the other dragons in the den. She, and the others, were no longer hatchlings, now fully grown dragons. She had been living inside the cave for a long time now, and had now got used to the stench and constant coughing of both her and the others.

But today was different from the days prior. The familiar coal mirror walked once more into the cave, but this time, followed by three other mirrors, all of which had large battle scars covering their bodies and rips in their wings. They had cold looks in their ruby eyes, and glared at the dragons with looks of disgust. "This..is the type of fodder you got, Inuera? They're all weak, you can tell by their bodies and eyes." one of them hissed. "Plaguemother deserves only the best, not these runts.' another snarled. The coal mirror snapped at them aggressively, and the fodder dragons jumped in surprise. "Do not fight with me, Layeli, nor you Voriksha. If you wanted good fodder, you should have come with us and picked some yourselves" The mirrors hissed in reply, but kept their mouths shut. A flint-coloured mirror stepped towards Inara and the dragon beside her. "These two are mine. You, come with me." she growled.

At first, Inara didn't move, but once the mirror realized this, she nudged the skydancer forward towards the cave entrance with a snarl, and not long after, she was outside for the first time in days, even weeks. She gasped at the wasteland before her-red, grim, just like the den she was cooped up inside for so long. But she would have no time to take it in, because soon she was following the flint mirror towards a large pit that once held acids strong enough to melt flesh. Little did Inara know-as she was never taught this-these mirrors were going to train her as fodder for exaltation.

The training began suddenly, with two Hooded Dodo appearing seemingly out of nowhere and attacking the group mercilessly. Inara was their primary target, and in one attack, Inara was left in pain, gasping on the ground. The mirror gave no notice and scratched the foes with just as much force. Soon, it was over, and after Inara was fed, she was thrust back into the action. But she didn't fight-she cowered, attempting to dodge the monster's attacks with all the strength left in her bones. At last, after a long day of training, Inara was left gasping for air, covered in bruises and cuts. The skydancer huffed, glancing around for a chance. A chance to leave this place. I can't stay here. Not now, not ever. I need to run.

And her chance came. While the mirror was busy wolfing down her food and recovering, Inara spread her wings, collected all the energy she could, and with a quick glance at the other dragon lying on the ground next to her, quietly as she could, shot off into the sky. She flapped her wings with new energy, and soon was in the clouds, unable to see the land below. But she didn't stop there. Without thinking, she flew off, as far as she could, from the mirrors and wasteland she lived in for what felt like so long.

Tearsforlu / 297526 - Leo was trying to avoid hunting duty in the outside of their area, and along with his Dodo, he was scurrying around for berries to comfort his anxieties about being caught by Mei, his head huntress. When all of a sudden, he was banged into by another dragon, a little smaller than himself, but nevertheless knocking him off his long feet.

The other dragon seemed exhausted, and Leo was immediately very concerned. The other dragon wasnt moving. Was she dead? Oh, god, let her not be dead.

A couple of hours later, Leo stood anxiously and watched, as Angelos administered a strengthening draft to the strange skydancer. "Will she be okay?" He asked, worried that the fall might have injured her beyond repair. Angelos let out a deep chuckle and nodded. "She will be just fine. You better alert Abner of this. He will convince Candace to let her stay."

Leo ran out of the healing area, his Dodo tripping behind him as he reached Abner, playing with the newest hatchlings. "Abner! A-a- Skydancer fell from the sky, and she is hurt, I have- she is... Angelos is fixing it so-" Abner nodded calmly despite Leo's frantic speech. "Lead me there," he responded, walking off with Leo towards the healing grounds.

A few days later, Inara had been given a nesting area with the other skydancers in Candaces clan. There were not many of them, in fact, there was only one other mature skydancer here. Teague, the singer.

Her chest was bandaged by Angelos, and she had been given a sleek fabric to keep her warm in the slightly cold area. A Bucktooth Digger was in her nest night and day, having lived underneath it before it was built.

"You will like it here," Teague said, smiling as the little ones ran around his feet.

Though Inara could not answer, her heart seemed to skip a beat. There was something about the singer that she really liked.
