Originating from the Virdian Labrynth, Maeven is a calm soul that simply wishes to make ends meet; and he wishes for peace.

Maeven was once a young, boisterious, and proud. His father was a stage hand at a circus, and his mother an artist. He had left his home with eageress. He wished to be successful, and to one day come home and do his parents proud.

However, lady luck had differing plans for him. He has travelled across all of Sornieth, fought many, and befriended less. Once he attempted to reach home again, the Teacup Circus, his clan, wasn't where he was thought it would be. He was lost.

After many more years of searching for a purpose, he found old friends within a strange magical Castlekeep within the arcane territory. He founded a business there, and has achieved solace in the simple yet complicated work of tavern-keeping.

In the most recent years of his life, Maeven has fallen very deeply in love with an Imperal named Onyx. The two of them together are now enjoying a mostly peaceful life.

Ares is an old ally from the Arena that Maeven used to train at. He became a tavern partner after seeing the success of the establishment, and wishing to help his friend. They seem to be experts at running the tavern together; even if Ares is quick to temper and pick fights with rowdy patrons.
