______ On the night after the Eclipse, as the moon was at its peak position, the egg that Snaut had been sitting on for five days started to crack. As the shell broke open to reveal the red hatchling, the moon turned blood red in the sky.

______ Murmurs of concern and unease arose in the clan when they learnt of this news and Snaut knew that it would be hard to keep his first-born in the clan. He quickly sent a letter out to his mother, who was a Blood Mage and was well-versed in Blood Magick, an Arte that other dragons avoided although it wasn't a Forbidden Arte. Sophella's prompt reply and acceptance had him heave a sigh of relief. The next day, his first-born daughter was bundled up and sent to live with her grandmother in the Viridian Labyrinth. Sophella told her son that his first-born had a strong affinity for Blood Magick due to the Blood Moon and it would be most fitting for her to become a Blood Mage.

Named after the Blood Moon, Ithiliar took to Blood Magick like a fish to water, as predicted by her grandmother. Surprisingly, she was even able to keep up with her Night Warrior training and soon achieved the Night Warrior title. Her studies in Blood Magick soon bore fruit as she slowly became as powerful as her grandmother

______ As a young Night Warrior in training, Ithiliar grew up with her great great aunt since they were the closest in age. She also helped to take care of her great great great uncles and aunt when the four young ones were born. As such, she became more of a sisterly figure to Nenya and the other four Night Warrior hatchlings.

______ Like her grandmother, Ithiliar didn't have a mate. It wasn't that she didn't want one, but none of the dragons she saw struck her as the One. Still, she didn't reject her many suitors and from time to time, she would strike up a relationship with someone.
