Straightforward, honest, and hardworking; an excellent engineer with a low tolerance for nonsense.

Mirdala and her team of engineers and geomancers run the entire system of pneumatic tubes and lifts that keep Cerar Oriya inhabitable. That's the way she sees it, at least. Her geothermal vents provide power for all the needs of a thriving city, and bleed off the volcanic energy that might otherwise break into the caldera that Cerar Oriya is built into.

When Mirdala was assigned to her post as Pneumatic Systems Overseer by the Chief of Staff, the entire department was neglected, dysfunctional, and in dire need of a complete overhaul. She's not a miracle worker - the machinery is still ancient and cantankerous - but the team she has built is reliable and dedicated. (Although she's not above assigning certain dragons to subteams that keep them more or less away from the residential areas, after a few embarrassing incidents)

These days, message canisters don't get lost in the pipes anymore, the heat goes where it's wanted and stays out of where it isn't, and the lights stay on in every quarter of the city.
