You'll get nothing from her about her past- vague comments about a tyrannical father, a cruel mother, and running away from the both of them. There's a heavy gauntlet of shiny midnight like the twilight sky on her hand, locked on too tight to take off. It'd take an Arcane scholar to recognise it, and she keeps a wide berth from those. It is clear that she no longer chafes under the running, that it's routine to burn after reading, tracks in the dirt scuffed away.

It was pure chance that she ended up meeting Zachariah on shore leave, alone together at a gathering they both needed information from. It was pure chance that he spotted the next round of bounty hunters after her, that he hid her until they were gone. He didn't need much more than that, but she was kind- always kind- and didn't comment about, well, anything. When she needed a way out, that was the way offered. The sea is unfamiliar, uncharted territory, and therefore safe. With her silk leggings rolled up, she feels the spray and grins into the horizon, their own personal runaway.
