Headcanons
Eleonore studies runes. She finds them to be finicky and puzzling. She studies runes for the challenge. A screech of excited joy explodes from her the second she translates a line of runes. She loves the complexity runes hold, a giant puzzle of gibberish waiting to be solved into powerful spells and scripts. Eleonore has no need for the power or magic in runes. She just wants to solve an ancient puzzle. And solve she does... after a few weeks, give or take.
