Zora

Zora is a vain dragon, but so goodnatured that she has found many friends in the clan. She is generally considered an honorary Ridgeback, especially by her best friend Prisma. She finds wildclaw culture too violent. The clever witticisms of ridgeback culture are much more her speed.

Zora found an unlikely mate in Jade, who tolerates the Ridgebacks' antics as best she can. Though many dragons saw Zora as an easy way to gain leverage with Jade when they first became mates, Zora has no interest in clan politics. At least not in discussing them with others. She has worked hard to maintain an easygoing openness with clanmates in spite of her high rank. The older crowd (Jade's peer group) has gradually accepted Zora as a trustworthy bridge between the elders and the more...excitable younger crowd.

A NEW FLIGHT

Zora and her mate have retired from politics since The Great Misery. She misses the sea. The Ashfall Wastes are altogether too warm for her tastes, but she takes comfort in the small hot spring Jade found and claimed for her. (The clan wouldn't dare deny their old leader this small comfort for her mate.) Most of Zora's old ridgeback friends exalted themselves rather than continue with the clan. She and Prisma are closer than ever, however.
