Biography

Belladonna - Beautiful Women, Nightshade.

Being born into a savage pack of mirrors and raised in the Scarred Wasteland is no easy task for a hatchling. You have to learn fast or die trying. I never enjoyed being in the pack of mirrors that raised me. They would eat anything they could get their filthy claws into... And I do mean anything including... the rotting corpses of other dragons. I won't lie to you I did partake in these disgusting meals, but do understand I wanted to survive and that was the only way I knew how to at the time. Don't worry I would never do that presently but back then I was desperate to survive. I used to not care much about anything but survival and where my next meal was coming from until one day my younger brother died of starvation... The entire pack was struggling to find food at the time so they decided to partake in my brother’s corpse. I could deal with many of the savage things the pack had done but partaking in a member of the pack and child of two of those awful creatures was just too far...

So even though I was just as hungry as those savages I stood over my fallen brother and tried to look as threatening as possible for a starving mirror. Of course the others were confused until they realized they weren't going to eat. Then began the fighting... The pack , including the monsters that produced me, began attacking me relentlessly. I attempted to fight back as much as I possibly could. But I was already weak, starving like the rest of them. But I knew I couldn't back down this time... Even if it killed me. So with the strength I had left I kept defending the dead body of my brother, feeling my muscles grow weaker and weaker. And just as I felt the last bit of energy start leaving my worn and bloody body. This bulky male guardian starts tearing the other mirrors off me. They fought back very viciously, but the guardian was just as brutal in battle till half the mirrors laid dead and the others ran. I was very confused by this dragons eagerness to help, but also grateful. He dressed my wounds and I messily covered his scratches not being very good at first aid at the time. He then helped me properly burn my brothers body so no scavengers could eat it.

Afterwards I was not too keen on being around this odd dragon sense I had never come across a guardian… alive that is. However as I began walking away this guardian followed me... tripping over about several dead branches and rocks along the way, but never stopping. Eventually I got tired of walking, my muscles sore from the skirmish earlier, so I turned around to confront him. I had never been in this type of situation before so I decided to just growl while trying to look somewhat menacing... But he just smirked at me. I was very confused by this reaction so I mustered up the question "Why are you following me?..". Then this big dolt just sat down staring at me with a pleasant expression and said, "You’re my charge." I had just discovered my new found independence so I really didn't like the sound of that, I hissed in defiance,"No one's in 'charge' of me!" then started running away. As soon as I did so, I could hear his big, bulky paws pounding on the ground behind me and him yelling "I didn’t mean it like that!". Turns out a ‘charge’ is something all guardians have to find when they come of age through this journey called the ‘search’. Honestly just sounded like a creepy excuse to stalk me but other guardians confirm it's true.

Anyways I ended up allowing him to explain his behavior to me and over some amount of time discussing everything, I became gradually more comfortable with him. The guardians name was Gideon, he was incredibly kind and patient with me, teaching me about a more civilized way of life. I couldn’t be more grateful that he found me when he did. Now he is my mate and second in command of this clan. Gideon convinced me to start this clan in the Scarred Wasteland. He thought I would be a better leader because I think more logically than he does most of the time. Gideon doesn't agree with everything I do especially the entry test for our clan. Which is simply getting every dragon who wishes to join this clan to be infected and only if they survive can they stay. But he allows it because it is one of the few things necessary in keeping this clan a decent size and well endured in the Scarred Wasteland. Though he tends to let his emotions rule over his decisions Gideon really is a great second in command... And partner.
