Welcome, this is where I keep track of the items I want and need.

SILENT | DEADLY | MYTH?

VAULT GUARDIAN

The guardian of the clan's hoard and vault, Alastria is the small reinforcer of the security system keeping the clan's wealth safe. Her slight size and trim build allows her to stay comparatively well-hidden, and often times, just when you think you've seen her, she's gone again. There's a joke that she must not exist, and that any glimpse of her is only a fragment of one's imagination. But if that were so — how would you explain all the disappearances?

For no one who has ever trespassed into the hoard or vault has ever been seen to return. Some dragon might even simply joke about breaking in, then vanish immediately the following day. Others have come up with solid plans to waylay the clan's security, hatchling guarding it or no, then ended up flat on their backs in truly unfortunate accidents. Still others… others "return," but no longer as themselves. They are the ones who decided to turn back before attempting a heist and found their lives spared, if not their sanity. For the rest of their days, they simply wander, until they too cease.

It may surprise many that Alastria has never been blamed for the disappearances, for it is unclear as to whether she is responsible for them, or if she's simply doing her job, and the to-be-thieves were scared off by one thing or the other. After all, what kind of hatchling would be capable of wielding a power strong enough to break the stoutest warrior's mind?

But someone, or something, must be responsible for the misfortune that falls on any dragon who approaches the vault or hoard with ill intentions. Is it a spell? A curse, cast by one of the clan's previous guards? An illusion that disrupts the mind? In any case, no one would dare trespass into Alastria's territory to find out.

And those that do never live to tell the tale.
