Biography
Growing up was always incredibly hard for Jewl, as she was constantly getting in trouble due to how she looked. Every bit of light reflected off of her and blinded others causing them to bully and blame her. She wasn’t able to make any friends and her and her family for the most part hid from other dragons as often as they could. Her parents had to step in on her behalf to break up fights caused by her appearance and others’ judgment of them. Her father, having had the same problem, knew how hard it was on his daughter. He had left the Lightning flight due to the electricity often reflecting off of him and the same judgments held against him.
Jewl fantasized about a place where she wasn’t an inconvenience or under threat just because she was born. Her father wasn’t supportive and told her such a place would never exist. One day she ran away from her parents and went to search for somewhere she could live happily. She traveled to the Lightning flight territory during her search and met Glass who was living in a similar situation to what she endured. He compared her to Star Moss which sparkled at night.
That night she met up with him and they quickly became good friends, Jewl told him about her idea, and he joined her as she looked for a place where they could live. Glass taught her very many things about plants while on their travels, everything from the plants that glowed and which ones healed. With Glass, Jewl traveled to all of the domains and met many dragons who believed as they did, and many who were just like them. Whether or not they were like Jewl or Glass, they wanted a place away from other dragons who have had sharp tongues and tormented them.
While traveling in the Shadow domain Jewl met a young Silver Coatl who swept her off of her feet. He complimented her shine, and helped her build up a story of a safe place for them and the others. Believing that he loved her, they mated and had one beautiful baby. Not wanting children or a true comitment the young Coatl left her, and in turn she thought it would be best to leave as well.
After they left the Shadow domain and were headed back to the Earth domain they came across a large cave system. After much exploring and a lot of debate they decided to set up home. They all made their civilization in a large cave system in a mountain on the edge of Dragonhome and the Tangled Wood, where Star Moss grew rampant. this is when Jewl began to think of the children that didn't the same bright sparkle that they did, those who wouldn't have to have the lives that they have had. The children that could have normal lives, and wouldn't have to live isolated fro the rest of the world.
"Glass dear, don't you dare put that cloak back on."
"But I feel naked, this isn't enough clothing......."
He slowly tries to slip his cloak on.
"Well it's too much clothing for me, if you feel naked put on more holiday stuff. And leave that cloak alone you here me?"
"....Yes, Jewl love......"
Hearing you outside Jewl approaches.
"Hello there, " she says with a soft smile. "The boys are inside bickering so you won't get to witness their whole charade. I'm sorry i'm not all dressed up, but let me get some goodies for you!"
She pauses for a moment as you hear things falling inside, followed by "I'm an adult! You are not my dad! I know how to give dragons candy!"
Jewl rolls her eyes, "Sounds like Oil has knocked over the goodie bowl again, I'll be back in juuust a moment." she stomps back inside and you can vaguely hear angry whispering from inside. As Jewl returns she drags a brown Coatl and a..... Wildclaw of unknown color out to you by the scruffs of their necks.
"Now boys, give the treaters a treat so they can be on their way," She says with a bit of a forced smile.
"...Yes, Jewl Love..." The Wildclaw says as he fumbles to grab something.
"Oil?" She prods as she turns to the brown Coatl.
He marches over and snatches what the Wildclaw is grabbing, and hands it to you.
"Have a Happy Halloween," he says with a partial smile. "Seriously, enjoy it while you can!"
