" ..." Talais is a powerful cult leader with an ego the size of the sun. She was born an evil creature, her very soul full of malice, and thus it infected her charge who in turn inflicted a state of delirium and bigheadedness on her. Whether she does it intentionally or not, her solar blades impose that same delirium on those around her; this has allowed her to exercise control and power and form her cult, which worships her as a goddess and a queen. Talais aims to overthrow Llewellyn and rule his empire with an iron fist. Llewellyn, however, despite his air of weakness and tragedy, is an incredibly intelligent and skilled dragon. It is no easy feat to deceive or defeat him, which is why she needs an army - her cult is not only made to worship, but to destroy, to stomp beneath their feet all those who oppose the great Queen of the Slumbering. Knowing she has this level of influence and sovereignty fills her with an insurmountable feeling of power, and it has certainly gone to her head. Her charge is her solar blades. She found them as a young dragon, abandoned somewhere in the dirt, a thin layer of filth dusted across their surface. Still, they shone so brightly in the dark, calling to her, beckoning her forward to take them in her claws. Once she was big enough, she donned them, and they stretched across her wings in an arc and surrounded her in light. She can hardly remember anything from before she found them, enveloped in the raving hysteria that comes with a bitter heart and righteous charge. This delirious state of being is not only exclusive to her, but to her followers as well, as those that get close to her for too long are exposed to infectious fever contained in her solar blades. Deep down, Talais still keeps a piece of her former self, a fragment of sanity hidden within the vastness of her being. Somewhere in her frenzied mind, she knows it's there, but she ignores it. She enjoys being like this, so capable and strong, lit up with never-ending vigor as she and her charge work in harmony. She's special, and she knows it - she wouldn't give this up for anything in the world. One day, she'll have it all. Talais is also a powerful user of wind magic, which is owed to her elemental alignment. These abilities are only enhanced by her charge, which not only cause her insanity, but her immense strength as well. She is capable of controlling where and how the wind blows, producing chimes that echo through the air, and she can summon tornadoes capable of laying waste to entire clans. Sometimes, she'll use her magic to fly instead of her wings, just because she can (and there's always the added bonus that it impresses other dragons...).
