Biography
WOLFCHANT
druid // herbalist // shaman |
ABOUT
Wolfchant; dragon raised by birds. A strange sentence to utter or even think of, but one that the clan he resides in has grown used to after a while. Although many newcomers question the validity of such a statement, the older members of the clan know it is true and remember finding the youth chirping away with a flock of tiny avians of all possible colorations and species. Wolfchant never truly had a family, no parents that he had to call his own. He had been largely abandoned, with his egg being left in the woods for scavengers and vultures alike to find. The latter was closer to what happened, although no vultures were involved. Wolfchant eventually hatched, but it wasn't to a loving lizard-like mother... but rather a tiny feathered puffball who he grew up to recognize as "mom." Even though he grew substantially bigger than every member of his vast family, Wolfchant never questioned his origins for he had never stumbled across other dragons. He simply figured himself a bit stranger than others, not focusing on it due to the painful reality: that somewhere inside he knew he simply wasn't the same as other birds. His suspicions were proven true when his territory was visited by the clan, and for the first time... Wolfchant felt both exhilirated and afraid. He had to choose between staying with the creatures he had learned to call family, or go soewhere he knew he belonged but with the clear implications that he knew nothing about what it meant to be a dragon. He barely even spoke the same language, spending months with Taiaha to learn the rough history of his drachonic bretheren, the language that the clan used, and what it meant that he was a first generation dragon, with nobody but the windsinger as his origin. He adapted very quickly to clan life, however, developing a natural affinity to herbs and salve-making. Wolfchant took on the role of healer, taking care of all the dragons despite his broken drachonic and his rather... blunt personality. He doesn't sugarcoat anything, and is hardly the stereotypical healer that loves and cherishes everything and is treated like a pushover. He's harsh, blunt, and rugged around the edges, with a lot of pent up energy that he releases by either yelling at others to take care of themselves or flying. He cares a lot about family, and because he forms bonds easily he treats everyone in his clan as such. He is one of the only dragons who can actually tolerate Taiaha, even borderline liking the rather cringy male, and might even be the fuel for his egotistical attitude because of how long he can sit and listen to the philosopher go off on a tangent about his life views. Wolfchant is treated like the mom of the clan... or moreso the grandma. He will protect and fight for them no matter what, but likewise is one of the main people yelling at them constantly to get those with unhealthy habits to stop doing those unhealthy habits, and to ward younger dragons off of doing something stupid. If he ever finds out someone hadn't eaten that day, the dragon in mention can always expect a half hour long lecture about how they need food for energy and energy to survive.
