______ He was coming home.

As he glided down on his golden wings, that was the thought Thoth kept at the front of his mind. His eyes took in the familiar scenery he hadn't seen in years, while desperately trying to keep tears away from his eyes. Tears that were, he told himself, caused by the wave homesickness that had rose up again at the sight of his home.

Because he didn't want to think about what really caused these tears.

He had been spreading the Lightweaver's call across the land for years, and, he hoped, bringing light and hope into everyone's lives. But life wasn't everything he wished for. His life before his journey had not taught him that. Nor had it taught him about the truth of the cruel world outside.

He had been spreading a call for truth, and the truth was, it was a thankless task.

But he didn't want to tell.

When he arrived, he would laugh and smile with his clanmates, and when they asked him about his journeys, he would nod and speak of the wonderfulness of the world outside. He didn’t want to tell them about the truth, because he was afraid the truth would break them. So he would hide his pain inside, and show only smiles, say only lies.

It would be painful to lie to his clanmates, but, he believed, less painful than telling the truth. He would keep the tainted world away from them, he would carry that burden himself. Would pretend, until he had been home for long enough that his journey was forgotten, and life could be normal again.

No.

What he learned from his journey would stay forever, wether the good, or the bad. His life may never be normal again. He would have his secrets, his story. He would be seen differently by everyone else, and he would never be able to let his burden go.

But he was fine with that.

He wanted to be strong, to spread the joy of Lightweaver, and to maintain it. And if maintaining his clanmates’ joy meant he would have to lie, he would bear it. He would be strong.

But for now, he was finally home.

______ Thoth was always a quiet, humble, studious dragon, it has always been in his blood. Son to a scientist and a scholar, he was immediately put in the Auction House, minutes after his birth. Thankfully he was picked up by a scramble of claws and taken to the /insert clan name/. Thoth was mentored by one of their guards, Daeorm, but the mentoring Bogsneak realized he wasn't built for the thrill of a fight. Soon, his mate, Agate, offered to give him an education and she was Thoth's mentor from there on.

It is merely a delightful coincidence that Thoth has received the light card, for he is truly in his heart a dragon of light. He will spread the Lightweaver's wisdom throughout Sorneith. Many dragons will despise him, and that is why the blood card is picked. The Pillar indicates a burden to be carried. This may be literal, but the cards show that the burden is within heart
