Biography
The Calendar Coalition
Feel like the Holiday Hub has too many criteria to be fun? Think the dates or eye demands are too restrictive? Fear not. This is our take on the holidays, and maybe it will suit you too.
We are inspired by the Holiday Hub. We have used a lot of their ideas and names for holiday themed pairings, but also skipped or invented some. We feel we are different enough to be our own hub. We don't make any changes or claims that we believe would anger or disrespect the Holiday Hub and its creator.
Also, if you see any misspellings, wrong dates, interpretations or translations, feel like an important holiday is missing or something, shoot one of us a message here or in a PM.
With love from Aliciaa, Lisegathe and Kissie.
RANKS
We have different categories of holiday dragons, breeders and pairs. Some can be thought of as communication, others as achievements. All dragons with the correct colours are holiday dragons, but of different star ranks. Please only use badges you actually qualify for!
Each correct trait on a dragon gives it a star. The amount of stars determine a dragon's title. All traits except the correct colours are considered equal. Correct colours is the only obligatory trait. This rating is well suited for dragons you want to keep or sell.
Correct primary, secondary and tertiary colours. This is obligatory.
Correct primary gene. If it's unspecified, any primary gene except basic is valid.
Correct secondary gene. If it's unspecified, any secondary gene except basic is valid.
Correct tertiary gene. If it's unspecified, any tertiary gene except basic is valid.
Correct breed. If it's unspecified, any breed is valid.
Correct eyes.
Correct hatch date, meaning during the holiday or 6 days after.
1-2 stars: Holiday Fluke
3-4 stars: Holiday Happening
5-6 stars: Holiday Wonder
7 stars: Holiday Idol / Holiday Inheritance depending on birth date.
A breeding pair gets a heart rating. They earn half a heart if only one parent meets the requirement. When all hearts are added the total is rounded down to the nearest whole heart. This rating will typically be used to paint an image of how casual or precise a pair, a hatchery or a breeder is.
The pair displays the same ranges in the same slots (primary, secondary and tertiary colour slots).
The pair displays correct primary genes. If it's unspecified, any primary gene except basic is valid.
The pair displays correct secondary gene. If it's unspecified, any secondary gene except basic is valid.
The pair displays correct tertiary gene. If it's unspecified, any tertiary gene except basic is valid.
The pair is the correct breed(s). If it's unspecified, any breed is valid.
The pair displays correct eyes.
The pair is bred in a nest with correct eyes.
The pair has correct hatch date(s), meaning during the holiday or 6 days after.
The pair is nested to hatch dragons on the correct hatch date(s), meaning during the holiday or 6 days after.
1-4 hearts: Hopeful pair
4-5 hearts: Representative pair
6-7 hearts: Legendary pair
8 hearts: Mythological pair
9 hearts: Astral pair

MORE EXPLANATIONS
This section will be expanded as you ask questions whose answers we feel should be included here.
XXX This dragon has the same colour in all 3 places/slots, meaning the primary, secondary and tertiary colours are identical.
XXY The primary and secondary colours are the same. Therefore all XXYs must exhibit a tertiary gene.
XYX The primary and tertiary colours are the same.
XYY The secondary and tertiary colours are the same.
XYZ All colours are different.
Note: sometimes we may refer to an XXY etc. of colour ranges. Then the dragon can be for example any blue tone on the primary and secondary without having to be identical, while the tertiary is a tone from the red range. Example: splash, sky, ruby.
Correct dates are divided into two categories: the actual holiday dates and 6 days after. Why 6 days after? Of lore reasons. You can write in their description that they were laid on the date of that specific holiday, and that their eggs absorbed the holiday spirit of that holiday. We believe there is logic and beauty in that. And if you were unable to hatch your nest on the holiday date, you can wait until 6 days after and add this to their lore. 6 days are because that is the quickest you can hatch an egg without a boon.
Matching eyes are divided into 3 categories. Same colour as one of the colours on the dragon is the most common, meaning water eyes on a dark blue dragon and lightning eyes on a turquoise dragon. We also allow neighbour eye colours, meaning you can use earth, fire or light eyes on a brown dragon and ice, water and lightning on a blue dragon. As long as it blends in with the dragon it's fine! The last category is Lisegathe's favourite. It's contrasting eyes. By contrasting we mean colours that are generally seen as matching, like pink and brown, brown and green, red and gold, silver and blue etc. Not horridly clashing colours, just contrasts that looks good. This is of course a subjective matter and we won't judge you! You can of course ask our opinion if you want. One way to see if they fit are to scry the dragon with all the eye colours and remove those who looks horrid. The remaining eyes are good! Some dragons will only look good with one specific eye colour while another may look good with any.

SEASONS
Up to you: these categories follow YOUR area and weather. When it's summer in Europe it's winter in Australia. And even if it should be spring, it may be snowing and more fitting with a winter dragon. These dragons must have a reason in their biography. Example: The nest was laid in snow and hail, and the eggs absorbed this weather. When they hatched, their hide reflected the purity of winter, even in May! (Norway). As you can see, they are entirely up to you! These have their own badges, and does not count as holiday pairs.

NATIONAL BIRTHDAYS
These are dragons with the colours of their flag. Some countries has the same colours, meaning the hatch date will determine who they are. You may also hatch a birthday dragon from above to celebrate your national day. Dragons representing a flag with more than 2 colours must have a tertiary gene. Dragons representing flags with more than 3 colours must wear apparel or skins bearing the remaining colours. These does count as holiday pairs, and you can breed a flag dragon for multiple national days with the same flag colours. You should add their "nationality" in their description, and preferably also their flag. You may also breed these for special "flag days" of that country, like for a royal birthday. You can not breed them if your favourite football team wins unless it's the national team. However, if the team colours are the same as the flag I'm not going to stop you, but they don't get holiday hatchlings.
Example: red, white and blue

Norway 17th of May (also 8th of May)
USA 4th of July
