Biography

Orick the Crazy Wildclaw

Orick tips his hat to you, "Until we met again" he leans in closer until his heat can be felt against your skin. "Perhaps sooner than you think."
Mage: Divination/Illusionist| Mate: ? | Song: Come Along | Story: WIP

AVWVIn5.png Orick is a bit of an odd duck and always has been, the reason for this are the insanely powerful visions he is beset with daily. They started the moment his newborn eyes fluttered opened and they will most likely continue until he finally passes. Naturally, having an alternate reality superimposed over reality every day can cause issues with one's mental capacities. Thus, Orick is a bit of a nutter. Though, a very sweet nutter.

It is not easy for him to make friends, but when he does he is loyally devoted to them for life. He has been known to come up with elaborate schemes to influence fate, just to protect or provide for them. In all reality, he only makes friends when drakes approach him and then persist with friendly interaction. Orick will not seek anyone out and will not attempt to get friendly on his own. The knowledge of how they live and when they stop are usually too much for him to handle. Though, he will not push away those that insist on befriending him.

Returning to the visions, there is very little that Orick will not know. When he first realized he could not only see fate but influence it he attempted to do it himself. Those instances never worked out right for him; they usually ended up with worse outcomes than the original vision did. Eventually, he realized he knew too much and his trying to change everything at once ended in utter failure. Thus was born his genius plan of using other drakes to get the job done. He figured out that if he found the right drake and tossed them into the mix he could alter fate with minimal mishaps.

  • There is always a method to his madness
  • His visions he can control a bit now that the Tidelord has up and vanished, which has helped him temper himself a bit
  • Jadda keeps him close because she's worried about him
  • Stormy also keeps an eye on him and has requested Orian's aid in the matter of the curious Wildclaw
  • He has a hard time remembering where he came from and from who. Sometimes it's hard for him to remember what's his life and what's another creatures
  • Loves to cuddle and has been known to do so with random and complete strangers until one of the clan pulls him away
  • The clan calls him Ori. He was stunned by this at first until he realized another in the clan has his name. He visits Orick often, because he feels a connection to the Skydancer Ambassador
  • Uses Narie and her explorers often to help him twist the threads of fate... hopefully in favorable ways
  • Did once send Maeve all over the city looking for something, just so he could get his toast a tasty golden brown

Artwork
Oops, sorry, wrong reality
Ah, yes, want some tea?
Afraid your face had me confused,
It seems a glorious fate follows you,
Ah, my manners, how do you do?

A little tweak can cause despair
But a little tweak could always fair
Right for what we need,
But careful when you start to weave,
Because fate's a tricky thing.

Like they say, even tiny things
Can bring up catastrophes,
Or turn the tables back
And make you win the match,
Sometimes you need a twist
And drakes do the trick,
But I can change only minor,
And so again I forwarn,
Careful, because fate's a tricky thing.
Poem by NovaBorn

Notes= "...such a curious little thing you are." the dark shadow hissed. It watched Ori for a quiet moment as he rummaged through bookshelves and desks before addressing him again. "You know what they say about curiosity. It killed the cat."
Orick, without breaking away from his search, giggled like a hatchling at the saying. "Ah! But satisfaction brought it back!" he commented enthusiastically.

...this lack of power, it's like a drought that leaves the brain dry and shriveled.
