Hubble is the lair’s go-to for anything magically unusual. If one can manage to pull him away from the observatory long enough to get him to take a look that is. He handles the appraisal of magical items merchants bring into the den as well as inspecting any enchanted cargo the excursion team might find out in the vast expanses of Sornieth. His true passion, however, is star gazing and though the clan has little practical use for such a skill Hubble insists upon its value to the Den.

Hubble’s most notable feature is his elaborate tattoo. Enchanted to reflect the stars of whatever sky he happens to be standing under it covers the majority of his body and shifts as he moves. Such markings are fairly common in the Starfall Isles but in the Icefields where magic is seen as a utility rather than a way of life such an obvious flaunt of ability for decorational purpose is seen as unusual to some and outright flamboyant to others. Most of the Draumer Den’s residents simply don’t care, too used to the sight of unusual dragons to be bothered by a new addition. Hubble himself doesn't appear to be bothered with how other dragons view him. Aside from his physical appearance Hubble displays a few unusual mannerisms as well. Electing to eat his meals in the observatory rather than the tavern, a move which miffed Pashek a great deal at first, and frequently humming to himself as he works. The humming, in particular, ensures that he has the observatory to himself as few can stand the noise for long. Generally quiet, aside from the humming, Hubble’s few exceptions are magic and his work which he’s happy to prattle on about endlessly heedless of the waning interest of his unfortunate conversational partner.

The clan has always had an observatory but before Hubble arrived it was in a state of disrepair and with no use for it the clan turned their attention to more important structures. Outraged upon arrival to find his future home left in such a state of disregard Hubble demanded it be returned to its former glory. His demands went largely unheeded as most of the clan's focus was on surviving and rebuilding. This changed when, on a market day, Hubble noticed the clan was practically giving away an enchanted amulet for nearly a third of its actual value. When the clan realized this a deal was struck. Hubble would handle all appraisals and inspections of magical or potentially magical items. In exchange, the observatory would be repaired and properly outfitted to Hubble’s liking.

Given his reclusive nature getting to know Hubble is a challenge and he frequently rubs other dragons the wrong way unintentionally. During his first few weeks, he and Pashek had quite a few spats over Hubble's choice of dining location. His preference for eating all his meals in the observatory was mistaken for a dislike of Pashek’s cooking, which was almost unheard of. Once it was established that Hubble liked Pashek’s cooking just fine but rather didn’t feel comfortable enough to eat with a large group of other dragons Pashek was more than happy to deliver Hubble’s meals to him on a regular basis. One dragon that Hubble is open about his dislike for is Rham who, much to Hubble’s displeasure, frequents the Observatory to read the future through the stars. A practice Hubble finds abhorrent.

Fortress of Ends Excavation

A post-excavation arrival Hubble has little desire to know of the events that transpired before he arrived and lead to the eventual displacement of nearly the entire lair. He does know of what happened to Marco and has made fast friends with the blinded Imperial. Much to the shock of the other residents Hubble was always willing to step away from his work to Help Marco pen a letter and was the dragon that helped find Marco his Philosopher’s veil allowing him to read even while blinded.
