Merlin, Azoth's older brother, is an advanced student. He specializes in enchanting objects, although he does dabble in potion-making too. He plans to leave the school once his studies are over and open a potion shop. Everyone suspects he has other plans in mind as well, but he doesn't disclose them.

In his travels, he befriended a serthis potionmaster called Ifrit, and now they work together on object enchantment and potion-making. No one fully trusts either of them, but all feel slightly guilty about it. He hasn't earned their distrust, but something still unsettles them...

Aenye's suggestions for lore: I seem him as a travelling mystic, probably from some eastern /desertish regions, posing as small item peddler or fortune steller at inns he stays in. Maybe hold great interest in ancient items and creatures, maybe trying to revive/recreate those when he gains enough data. He's very charming. Hmm...Incense, gold dust, floating flames, windchimes in the distance; whispers, chanting, rustling papers; hisses, eyes that watch you but disappear when you try to find them; spirits..maybe he can see and talk to them?Would be super useful for his research.
