Biography
Oleander, or Oli as he's known by to those close to him, is the quiet and elegant head gardener of the clan. Though a Light dragon, he ferociously applied himself to the study of Nature magic to learn his trade, eventually learning enough to be able to cultivate plants in nearly any environment. He is always draped in some fragrant bloom, as well as the clothes he commissioned that are partially woven from poisonous vines native to the Viridian Labyrinth. However, there is a darker side to Oleander that many do not know.
Approach the gardens in the dead of night on a full moon and you will find him tending a small portion of land surrounded by an impenetrable wall of thorny vines. Within this natural fencing, Oleander grows herbs and flowers capable of killing dragons within moments. He has spent years exposing himself slowly to their toxins and building up an immunity, and because of this there are few poisons on Sornieth capable of causing him more than mild discomfort. He takes these plants and mixes them into deadly concoctions that can cause any manner of death, for a price. Oleander sells these poisons to assassins and spies across the lands; he has customers from all the flights and all walks of life.
Oli does not see his work as anything but such; he does not concern himself with what his customers do with his wares once they send him his payment. Perhaps this is callous of him, but Oleander doesn't concern himself with matters of morality. He cares about his gardens and his wealth, and maybe a little about his clan. He mostly keeps to himself, though he is close with Calanthe, his apprentice. Currently, she trades her wares with him in exchange for some of his more benign herbs to use in her craft. Oleander is slowly coaxing her to spend more time in the gardens so he may determine whether or not he can trust her with his secret craft; if so, he believes she would make a wonderful addition to his trade.
