► HISTORY
Minuit hails from a kingdom long forgotten. Born as the youngest of many siblings, he was well-loved and pampered by his family. His hind legs were crippled from birth, but he nonetheless received an excellent education, particularly in literature and music, and was adored for his sweet and gentle nature.

When he was nearly grown, one of his elder brothers ran afoul of a fairy, Nhainnse the Rose Prince. The fairy cast a curse on Minuit's brother and the kingdom, causing both to waste away. He declared that he would be satisfied once either the prince or the kingdom had perished. Minuit pitied his brother, and without his family's knowledge, he offered himself as a sacrifice instead. Nhainnse accepted -- but although Minuit's brother was freed, the loss broke his family, and the kingdom eventually faded away.

Minuit remained in Nhainnse's possession for a long time. He was often tormented by the fairy, who saw him only as an object of entertainment. Rescue came from an unexpected source: a cosmic entity, Exodus, heard his prayers for release. His words helped her understand the power lying dormant inside her, and she was able to use it to snatch away Minuit and his faithful familiar, Nieve, and deposit them within the Disillusionists' lair.

Recovery was slow for Minuit. He was tormented by nightmares of his time in Nhainnse's garden, and his familiar mysteriously disappeared one night. The Disillusionists, particularly Tiferet the hydrotherapist, worked tirelessly to aid him. It was while recovering in the waters of the Blooming Grove that Minuit met his new familiar, Bluewit. Tiferet was also a great source of comfort to him, and they grew close over time, eventually becoming mates.

An allied clan, the Cathedral of Eyes, also helped him a great deal. Here, he met Ginko, who had also been a prisoner of Nhainnse, and Viktor and Yuuri, benevolent fairies who helped strip away the hostile magics that still clung to him. Although Minuit still fears fairies, he now understands that not all of them are malevolent and that he even has friends and protectors among them. Most of his nightmares have already faded away, and he has recovered much of the calmness he used to have earlier in life. He now works in the Medical Department as a receptionist, meticulously recording all important information and making sure the patients have everything they need.

► CHARACTER
Minuit was raised with a strong sense of duty. His lame legs were never seen as an impediment; he was an eager, intelligent student from the beginning and accomplished most tasks he put his mind to. As a child, his siblings enjoyed playing games of make-believe with him. When they later had children of their own, Minuit could be relied upon to babysit his nephews and nieces. He didn't often leave the palace due to the difficulties of getting around, but was well-liked by the servants for his politeness and good manners.

His time with Nhainnse nearly destroyed him. When he left the garden -- and, later, when he lost his first familiar -- he was a frail and fearful dragon. It took him a very long time to let go of the fear that he would be snatched away and tormented again.

Nowadays, Minuit leads a quiet life among the Disillusionists. Time passed quickly for him in the garden; he understands that his kingdom existed centuries ago and has to grips with his new home and clan, not to mention new magics and technologies. While remains too frail to do work that requires much activity, he has found work in the clan as a medical receptionist. He is often seen working alongside his mate, and his calm, near-constant presence in the infirmary is a great comfort to many patients.

He remains very wary of fairies and will always have something made of iron on himself: he most commonly wears a crown, but will occasionally wear an iron bracelet or a necklace as well. He gets around with the aid of a specially-designed wheelchair and may also use the walking stick given to him by his familiar. His hind legs often ache -- the quickest relief is for him to soak in a warm bath. He's especially fond of the hot springs in Blooming Grove. His mate, Tiferet, often accompanies and assists him.

He is well-regarded by the Disillusionists: While they pity him for what he went through, they also admire him for managing to hold on to his better nature (not to mention his sanity). Minuit has many friends among them, all of whom encourage him to try new things and are always willing to lend him a hand.

► RELATIONSHIPS

Tiferet | Mate
Minuit came into Tiferet's charge as a patient. It was she who suggested that herbal baths would help his legs, and she always accompanied Minuit to his trips to Blooming Grove. The prince poured out most of his troubles to her; she, in turn, was happy to assist him, and deeply impressed by how strong his spirit was. They eventually became mates, and she continues to care for him.

Nieve | Former Familiar
A Squall Rasa, Minuit's closest companion from childhood. She used to pull him around on a wheeled cot and later accompanied him to Nhainnse's garden. Although she escaped together with Minuit, she disappeared not long after. Minuit fears she might have been abducted by Nhainnse as revenge.

Bluewit | Familiar
A Moonlight Fungi of the Blooming Grove, one of the many creatures drawn to the magic clinging to Minuit. Bluewit soon recognized Minuit's plight and came forward to assist him. She eventually made Minuit a walking stick of his own and remains with him even today.

Ginko | Friend
Originally named Alkaloid, he was captured by Nhainnse and held in the garden for some time. He escaped long before Minuit arrived, eventually finding a new home in the Cathedral of Eyes. Minuit sometimes visits him when he needs someone to talk to.

Nhainnse | Tormentor
A fairy prince who exists on a different plane of reality. Minuit came to him as a willing sacrifice, but Nhainnse quickly grew bored of him and treated him cruelly. Minuit hasn't seen him since escaping from the garden. His whereabouts are unknown, but his foes and former captives remain on guard against him.

► STATS & ABILITIES

Minuit is no combatant, and he never will be. Always delicate and never belligerent, the closest he'll come to a battlefield is reading about it in a dusty textbook.

While he doesn't often catch illnesses, his body is naturally weak and he has never been vigorous. His hind legs are too feeble to support him and he can barely move them. He requires regular treatment to alleviate his various aches and pains, most of which originate from his imprisonment in the garden.

Magical reservoir is almost nonexistent, probably due to his weak body. He knows some very basic spells, but casting these is still too much trouble for him, and he is also susceptible to hostile enchantments.

Brainpower is where Minuit shines. He devoured books as a child and remains interested in art and literature. He can recite stories and poems from memory, has an excellent singing voice, and can also play the mandolin and flute. Where his repertoire fails, he can create new tales and songs on the spot -- a useful skill to have when entertaining bored hatchlings. There is still much he does not know about the time he landed in, but he continues to learn.

A sweet-faced dragon with a charming voice. His gentle nature is readily evident, and he is very easy to talk to. He can act less anxious and more energetic, mostly for others' benefits, but he would really prefer not to do so.

Not too good. Things are better for him now, but he seems to have been dogged by bad luck practically since his birth.
